JUST BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE FIND MACROS OBSESSIVE, IT DOESN’T MEAN WE SHOULD BE IGNORANT OF OUR FOODS.
Yes, there are people who SHOULD NOT track their food, but the truth is the majority of our population is SO REMOVED from understanding what is even IN our food and the energy different foods give.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT WEIGHT LOSS. This is about gaining an understanding of what each individual needs for THEIR body & deciding how they want to use that information.
It is empowerment in a world full of BS lies.
Do many people use macros for excessive continual deficits that, in turn, back fire on them? Yes.
Is that the standard? NO!
Should we make that the goal? No!
Macros should be used as a tool of knowledge.
We should absolutely not be in a calorie deficit forever.
Learn proper food portions, learn what’s IN your food (fats/carbs/proteins) so that you can make informed decisions about what you want for your own damn body (not cutting out gluten just because “fitness felicity” cut out gluten 🙄)
Macros is not a fad diet.
Macros (short for macronutrients) are literally what our food is made up of. It is FACTS.
People put their own emotions into it.
CAN we use that knowledge to lose weight? Absolutely but that’s missing the whole damn point.
Use it to be an informed consumer.
