I eat under my calculated macros, is that a good thing?

I get this question actually quite a lot from my 1:1 clients when we start together and my DMs and the answer is…

Nope!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Think of it this way:
Our bodies adapt to the amount of food that were eating so if we calculate what our macros SHOULD be in a calorie deficit
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But then consistently eat under those macros,
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Then the original will no longer work for us and we’ll
🛑stop 🛑
losing weight until we go
lower and lower calorie.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nobodyyyyy wants that, right? 🤪
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We want to keep macros/calories as HIGH as possible during a deficit phase for as long as we can.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When tracking, try to be within about 5-7g carbs/protein and 3-5g fats.
