We don’t have to get rid of foods we love when dieting but we have to pick our battles.

Dieting should be for a relatively SHORT period of the year. You don’t have to give up your favorite foods every day for the rest of your life…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BUT if you’re in a period of fat loss you have to space them out.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have a lot of clients that travel either for work or fun & we work on choosing which meals will have more calories, typically at a restaurant and having their other meals lower calorie.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
‼️We ALSO work on choices at the restaurants. A burger is almost 1000 calories & more fats than most people can eat for the entire day when dieting.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏻So choosing something ELSE that still fits their macros but maybe isn’t the most “fun” meal on the menu will allow them to still be social AND still reach their goals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍯For example I am in Florida & my mom made these PB muffins especially for me. Was I going to say no?

Absolutely not!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍫But the macros were about the same as a candy bar (aka high fats/moderate carbs/low protein)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So when we went out to dinner I ordered a low fat/moderate carb/high protein choice!!
🍤Grilled shrimp salad with mango, red onion, red pepper, a little crab salad & dressing on the side for the fork-dip method.

🍗Did I want to Buffalo wings or quesadilla that my family got? You bet your ass!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🤩But I also want results. And I know that NO foods are “off limits” but if you’re trying to achieve weight loss or just live “healthier”, we can’t have ALL the amazing things ALL the time.

If you want to eat all the fun things all the time, that’s totally cool! But make sure you’re realistic about your physical goals 💥
