1 of the BIGGEST issues I see as a coach is that people get their deficit macros from a website or a “one time macro assessment” or a coach but are never told that after they lose the weight they have to bring calories/macros back UP to their new maintenance calories in order to maintain that weight loss.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They think these macros are where they’re supposed to “live” now.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
NO!!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For example:
150lb woman, maintenance calories are 1900, deficit calories are 1500 (I made up these numbers).
Loses 10lbs but then never increases her calories back up to maintenance so she continues just “living” at 1500 calories.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
THIS leads to burn out.
THIS leads to digestive issues because calories are too low for too long.
THIS leads to weight gain bc your body has adapted to its new *set point* of 1500 calories which makes it harder to lose weight now.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If there’s 1 thing you need to know about macros it’s to get into a deficit, lose the weight and then get the hell back OUT of the deficit!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I explain this in my DIY Guide to macros which is releasing tomorrow to the general public (released yesterday to my email list) so make sure you turn on my post notifications to purchase it!
(I also have lots and lots of free posts on reverse dieting back to maintenance so scroll through my account!)

This is why I’ll never stop coaching, bc I cannot stand it when I see women way under eating for way too long 🙅🏼♀️

Has this ever happened to you with tracking macros?
