But what more people SHOULD be doing is giving a damn about their health.

Mental, physical…it’s all intertwined & the MAJORITY of it has to do with our nutrition.

🍎I don’t “eat 100% clean”; and macros helped me develop a better relationship with food bc I understand that for the same macros I could have a bagel OR potatoes.

🙋🏼♀️It let me be met where I was AT & slowly taught me how to swap things out and gain a better understanding for the absolute importance of fiber, protein, healthy fats and healthy carbs.

A few years ago I did NOT like avocado/veggies/etc. Whenever I bought a meal plan w/that shit, I failed bc I wasn’t “there” yet.
(Also, burn all meal plans 🔥)

But as my own health, macro and fit journey has evolved over many years, so have my goals.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍩I’ve done more “IIFYM” trying to fit lots of ridiculous things in,
🍔To the more 80/20 rule which was where I found the best balance for years,
🍳And now *trying* transitioning into more 90/10 for pure health reasons.

**I say trying bc it’s going to always be a challenge. I will fail, & that’s ok. I won’t stop trying though.

1️⃣First I wanted to be skinny,
2️⃣then I wanted to be “toned”/ “fit”/ “strong”
▶️& lately I’ve been working on just fucking healthy, ya dig?

No one is perfect, our goals are always changing and “healthy” means something different to EVERYONE. I’m already pretty “healthy” with consistent activity & lots of nutrients but there’s lots of room for improvement 🙌🏻

🧬But if I can try and change my genetic history that is relatively “unhealthy”, then I owe it to myself to continue trying year after year after year.

💰Bc, truthfully, yes I want to be fit aesthetically & internally at 29
but I damn sure want to be fit, healthy and independent as much as possible when I’m 80 🤪
