“Just eat in moderation” 🙄 COOL LINDA, what does that even mean??

I used to get so upset whenever someone said to just eat in moderation.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I had NO CLUE what moderation meant for
ME
MY lifestyle
MY body
MY activity
MY health & fitness journey.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is where macros came in because it gave me STRUCTURE.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Macros gave me guidelines.
Numbers to work towards.
A blueprint to start with so I COULD be “intuitive” later.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Fill X amount of calories with carbs/fiber, X amount with fats, X amount with protein.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Cool. I can work with numbers.

🍳Let me start looking at nutrition labels:
“what type of macros (carbs/fats or proteins) does this food have?”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👩🏼🔬Macros helped me understand FOOD & weight loss first
@ a time in my life when I didn’t eat the healthiest,
& transitioned to feeling fueled by what I was eating
🥳AND seeing bomb ass weight loss results.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏻Over the years, I started focusing on filling those numbers with delicious healthy fruits & veggies
WHILE
🍫Still having some chocolate or cereal in each day because it helped me stay stick with it!

Now, I get it.
🤯And it’s the most freeing feeling in the world.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍊I’m not run by numbers, they assist me in feeling good physically with nutrients
