My first 365 days with macros: I wanted to be “lean”.

So I did what I thought I was supposed to do for years:
Hop on the treadmill or do crazy cardio circuits where I was dropping w/sweat & just “ate better” without tracking anything/understanding what I was taking in.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s the answer to getting lean, right?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nope!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So what are a few major keys to getting AND STAYING lean?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅Lifting weights
✅Moderate cardio
✅Higher protein intake/understanding fats/carbs/proteins aka MACROS
✅Not being in a deficit year round.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
During the 365 days between those photos I went through a deficit then a reverse diet/maintenance and another deficit.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💪🏻It was the first time I was able to CONTINUALLY show up for myself and see changes!
(I say the first 365 days bc I have myself TIME to change, not 4 weeks)

🤯Learning macros helped me lose 20 lbs and KEEP IT OFF,
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🥳For over 3 years now! (This past winter I went through a surplus to gain some muscle but am back down a bit in my current deficit).
