🤯Years ago I honestly used to get such bad “gymtimidation” that 1 time I got dropped off at the gym and walked all the way home immediately bc I was too scared to go in.

🏋🏼♀️This insecurity went on for YEARS! It wasn’t until my mid 20s when I learned how to ACTUALLY lift weight that I started to feel comfortable.

🤷🏼♀️I stopped focusing solely on how I LOOKED & what I THOUGHT would get me a “better body” aka cardio for dayzzzz
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🏋🏼♀️and focused on adding 5lbs to the barbell every other week, nailing down correct form and having a PLAN to work my way through the exercises that TRULY change our body shape (rather than just running on the treadmill for 45 minutes).

🥰I started building muscle instead of looking “flat” and seeing just how damn empowering it is to FEEL STRONG.

💃🏼Yesterday I went to the gym & was the only girl in the entire gym & it reminded me that there’s still so many women intimidated by the “men’s section” (🙄) of the gym.

👠It’s really really hard in the beginning. I understand bc I was in your shoes,

But I promise, give yourself time and consistency with having a plan in the weight room and after a few weeks you’ll be hooked 💪🏻

Plus muscle is more dense/compact than fat so we look leaner simply by building dat muscleeee 😘
