“I’m eating low calories but not seeing results”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’re not tracking your “bites, licks and tastes” aka BLTs, they could be holding you back.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🤪I’m not talking 1 M&M
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍫I’m talking about the “little handful” of chocolate chips you have before dinner…and after dinner
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🥜Or the “little handful” of pretzels or chips from the free food at work,
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍖Or the 2 chicken nuggets you ate off of your kids plates after lunch,
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍿Or the popcorn you eat while standing in front of the fridge wondering what to make for dinner,
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☕️Or the iced latte you had from Sbux.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏻This “handful” is pretzels is actually an entire serving (15 pretzels) and 100 calories.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😳Doing this a few times a day could put you 300-500 calories over what you “thought” you’re tracking and be keeping you actually at maintenance.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💥Underestimating what were ACTUALLY taking in is one of the biggest issues I see as a coach. Remember: YOU might not track those calories but you bet your ass your body is.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😎Yes weighing and measuring out portions DOES take time but it’s a LEARNING experience. 🙋🏼♀️Taking a few months to understand what a normal portion size is can save you months of frustration when you feel like you’re eating under maintenance but not making progress.

So you find yourself mindlessly snacking sometimes?
