HONEY SIRACHA TURKEY MEATBALLS 🤤
For the meatballs:
2 lb lean ground turkey (I used 99\1)
1 cup whole wheat panko breadcrumbs
2 eggs
1/4 cup green onion, chopped
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
For the sauce:
1/4 cup siracha
3 tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce
3 tbsp rice vinegar
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
3 gloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp toasted sesame oil
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. In large bowl, mix turkey, breadcrumbs, eggs, green onions and seasoning together and roll into 1.5 inch balls (will make about 40 all together). Place on baking sheet lightly sprayed with cooking spray.
3. Bake for around 20 minutes or until cooked through.
4. For the sauce: combine all ingredients for the sauce in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, while whisking. Reduce heat and simmer for 8 minutes as it thickens, then toss with meatballs.
Shown is half of the meatballs, the entire recipe makes around 40 balls. Top with green onion and sesame seeds if desired (I didn’t have any).
Next time I would use maybe 93/7 turkey and bake them a few minutes less since they keep cooking after being removed from the oven!
