Fearing carbohydrates!πŸ₯”πŸ“πŸ―πŸ₯πŸžπŸ₯žπŸͺ🍿πŸ₯¦πŸŒ

ALL carbs are broken down into simple sugars that are used to fuel your central nervous system (brain!) and your body, aka very important 🧠
.
There are TWO types: simple versus complex carbs
🍯Simple: contain a smaller number of units to be broken down which means a quicker burst of energy (aka preworkout)
1. Example: honey/fruit juice/rice cakes
.
πŸ₯”Complex contain higher number of units to be broken down which fuel your body slowly over a longer period of time. These contain fiber which keeps you fuller longer.
1. Example: whole fresh fruits, beans, breads, rice and vegetables
.
Personally, adding more carbs slowly and methodically into my diet has allowed me to perform much better in the gym also and completely transform my muscles πŸ‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
.
Flexible dieting teaches you that there are no β€œgood” or β€œbad” carbs BUT what kind of carbs you eat will have an effect on your daily performance. So go ahead, eat that cookie, but make sure you have veggies too 😘
