It all stemmed from a virus I suddenly developed in my heart in May 2019 (during the healthiest time in my entire life 🤔)
& sent my life into a tail spin for the majority of the year.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ll make an IGTV on that someday but the point for this post is this:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❣️anxiety can affect anyone, at any time
❣️anxiety is way worse than just “feeling overwhelmed”
❣️anxiety has a shitty stigma that people are just “being dramatic”. If you currently think that, I urge you to check your ego/heart ♥️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But going through 2019 taught me so much about myself & how I don’t have to live in “victim mode”.
I am a strong ass woman who also happens to occasionally have anxiety.
It also helped me become a better coach 👯‍♀️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Things that have helped:
💛therapy (REACH OUT to a therapist & just fckin go. Stop procrastinating in “I don’t have the time to look one up.” Just do it.)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💛in person friendship. So grateful for @kmdgetfit & @ashleykhristinefitness
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💛journaling, gratitude, listening to music to get me out of a funk, meditation through the app HeadSpace that I’m constantly working through.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💛 decreased caffeine. Decaf FTW the majority of the time (although I still love regular coffee I’ve cut down a lot)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
đź’›an app called MOOD that helps track your moods throughout the week & gives suggestions on how to have better days.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
đź’›movement. For a 8-10 weeks (May-July) I was forced out of the gym completely, going from lifting 5-6 days per week to being prescribed only to walk which SUCKED but at least my body was able to do that.
Never take movement for granted.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🥰I always try to be positive & educational in my posts & so this is a bit different but I hope this one helps someone who might also be struggling.
👉🏻Leave anything that’s helped you with anxiety to help others too!

XOXO, Cait
